Is nothing on God’s green Earth sacred anymore?

In a financial move that has been brewing for weeks, InBev and Anheuser-Busch finally agreed to a buy out deal worth billions. This epic financial move must be the point of no return for the globalization of the American marketplace.

I ask, is there anything more American, more classic, more iconic than a Budweiser Beer? What exudes more Americana than an a professional sport, or an American sporting hero withthe red and white of Bud as their sponsor? Remember the Budweiser off-shore racing boats? Was there anything more powerful, awesome or majestic? Now when I see Dale Jr (now Casey Kahne) I’m I won’t be thinking of blonde twins in American flag bikinis. Now when I think Bud, I’ll be thinking of some tarted up European, wearing liederhosen and wooden shoes singing “Riccola!” No thanks.

I’ve been a Bud Light drinker for my entire life. No More. If there are any American brewers left, I’m switching. Truly, I hope Sam Adams hasn’t turned in their patriotic stripes for financial gains. This will be my own silent stand. I don’t care if the Europeans perfected the modern beer, I’m not drinking their tainted swill.
